Quo Vadis Project

The Quo Vadis Project was undertaken at the direction of the LSAA President to address the future of the LSAA and how to focus its efforts to best manifest the mission, spirit and motto of the School.  A 10-member Working Group worked for a year, addressing 34 separate proposals and recommending 14 which were also approved by the Board of Directors and are now being implemented.  Significant archival documents associated with the project to include its current status are provided below:

Two Documents That Helped Shape the Quo Vadis Project:

#1  “LSAA Quo Vadis, Some Additional Thoughts”
An annonymous alumnus’ 2008 assessment and analysis of the issues that the LSAA must address in the future.  It helped develop the framework for the entire Project.

#2 – “A Modest Proposal Concerning Our Shared Past and Future Submitted by Neil “Dick” Currie ’58, it was the impetus for the subsequent analysis of “The Feasibility of Reestablishing Lenox School in Some Form” (LSAA White Paper #2)

Additional Documents:

A summary of the Project is provided at the Quo Vadis 101 links to the right. The documents indicate how member feedback was sought and collected, the initial list of initiatives and proposals, how the Committee was organized, those additional skills that were sought, and a snapshot look at the Project in progress.  The final document indicates the most recent Board decision on the 34 original proposals, 14 of which were approved, 11 disapproved and 9 left open pending further investigation.

Current Status

As time and funding allow, we continue to accomplish Quo Vadis-related tasks and proposals, while determining how best to attack those tasks still remaining to be done.  Provided below are the current status of tasks as briefed at the 2011 Reunion, which provides you with the most current information on our efforts; and a crosswalk of the current task status to the original proposals, which provides you with the complete background information on each task and proposal.
