I think it was the winter of ’62-’63 that Lenox sang jointly with Mt Hermon, Kimball Union and perhaps a third club under the direction of the director emeritus of the Yale Glee Club (can’t remember his name, but he arranged many black spirituals).
Questions:
Who was the honored Yale director?
Who directed the Lenox Club?
Do you have a copy of our recording? Mine melted on a radiator.
Thank you for any and all answers!

David Blanchard was the director of the Lenox Glee Club at the Mt Hermon concert.
I have a copy of the record in a box somewhere: if you have a way to reproduce it to CD I’ll try to find it and send it to you if you will also make a CD of the choir’s ‘Lenox Mass’ at the same time.

A certain nearby authority (and former Lenox faculty member) tells me the Yale director-emeritus may well have been Fenno Heath. A revered name in Yale music, and sounds about right for the time period. Now a related music question: Does anyone know the whereabouts of Bob Ames (Glee Club director late-1950’s)?

The Heath family lived only 3 doors down from me when i was growing up in New Haven, CT. You would always hear wonderful music emanating from the home during the summer months when the windows were open. His daughter Sarah was a childhood friend of mine, so it was interesting to see that Mr. Heath had a connection with Lenox School long before I ever contemplated attending.

Marshall Bartholomew was the Yale Glee Club director emeritus who conducted the joint concert at Mt Hermon in the winter of ’62-’63.
