  1. Happy Holidays
Just a short note to wish everyone a joyful and peaceful holiday and to thank all of you for your support of LSAA through the years. Also, a reminder for those of you that received your Pen & Scroll via email that we now post this on the website for you to access.

We embarked on a rather historic venture in 2019 by establishing the Lenox School Alumni Association Fund with Berkshire Taconic. This fund affords us the ability to secure the history and legacy of Lenox School beyond our time as an active organization.

Once the fund achieves a critical mass, it will support scholarships and donations in our name as well as supporting the financial maintenance of a website that will contain digitized images of important papers, yearbooks, memorabilia, etc. In a sense, we are creating a virtual platform for Lenox School to exist again.

There is an active $10K challenge grant right now for the fund provided by one of our alums who will match dollar for dollar up to $10K to get the balance (which was at about $30K when we started it) up to $50K. Donations are of course tax deductible.

  2. A Sad report: Tom Ebitz, ’69, has passed.
You’ll have to cut and paste the link below, I reckon. Tommy Ebitz, who later changed his name to Creeley, was one of my favorite underclassmen. We were teammates on the fencing team for 2 years. For the last 4 or 5 years, I have been a regular contributor to an online discussion board he founded, called To One’s Self. Tom was an independent thinker, like myself. We shall miss him dearly. 3. In memorium
    Memorial Day 2022
I’d like to encourage Lenox School alumni, families, and friends, to include in their prayers former students and graduates of the Lenox School for Boys who have died serving their country in the large and small wars, declared and undeclared, that have taken place since the school was founded. Fratres in armis, fratrem meum in christo.

  4. Chuck Marquez Obituary
Charles (Chuck)Marquez, Lenox student from 1960-1964, passed away on June 16, 2022. He spoke often and fondly of his years and friends at Lenox. He leaves behind a son and daughter. His obituary can be found on the Bangor Daily News website.

  5. Heartbroken to miss 2022 Reunion
Since Oct. 25 2021 I have planned to attend in 2022. Unfortunately, I am scheduled to leave for BRAZIL for musical work on the 15th. It will be only my second trip to South America (Colombia 11 years ago), and I gotta go 😉 . Next year is our 50th, and I don’t care if I am offered work in Tibet, I”ll be there. All my ’68 classmates, I met Bob Tschilske at Johnny Chan’s Egg Rolls and Blues night before last in Woonsocket RI! Sorry I won’t be there to make clutch putts in the golf tourney, LOL!

    God bless y’all, every one,

    Bill H.
